GES new battery generation based on a hybrid hydrogen-liquid technology comes from the intersection of R&D, engineering, and product design, to overcome the state of the art of the existing storage systems. Based on proprietary patents, the hydrogen battery is a technology platform which enables the exploitation of a hybrid gas-liquid architecture to enlarge the range of solutions.

Building the storage of the future means preserving sustainability along the whole process: for this reason, we develop green chemistries based on abundant and no critical active materials that are easily accessible and characterized by low environmental impact. Besides, GES battery is designed on circular economy and recyclability principles to facilitate end of life management and material reuse.

Thanks to the peculiar technological features and the capability to work at room temperature, GES battery provides a high level of safety. Due to its non-corrosive and non-toxic chemistry, the battery doesn''t require anti-corrosion materials.

GES stationary storage systems are characterized by the independence between the power and the energy module, offering the possibility to design battery storage solution adapted to the final application requirements. Besides, the modular structure of the systems permits to scale the entire system up to megawatt sized solutions.

With a forecasted number of cycles above 12.000 (15-20 years life cycle) and the use of accessible and easily disposable components, our storage system provides long life high performances and a competitive Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS). Compared to traditional flow batteries, a single electrolyte is an advantage in terms of production cost (halved quantity of raw material).

I sistemi di accumulo stazionario GES sono caratterizzati dall’indipendenza tra il modulo di potenza e quello di energia, offrendo la possibilità di progettare soluzioni di storage adattate agli specifici requisiti dell’applicazione finale. Inoltre, la struttura modulare dei sistemi permette di scalare l’intero sistema fino a soluzioni di dimensioni nell''ordine dei megawatt.

Con un numero previsto di cicli superiore a 12.000 (ciclo di vita di 15-20 anni) e l’utilizzo di componenti accessibili e facilmente smaltibili, il nostro sistema di stoccaggio garantisce elevate prestazioni di lunga durata e un competitivo Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS). Rispetto alle tradizionali batterie a flusso, un unico elettrolita rappresenta un vantaggio in termini di costo di produzione (dimezzando la quantità di materia prima).

In December 2016, we acquired our first asset: GES Amsterdam B.V. ("GESA").

GESA is a company operating a Class 1 storage and blending facility for gasoline, gasoline components, and bio fuels with c.3000,000m³ gross capacity across 20 storage tanks located in the Port of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This terminal is very flexible. As well as gasoline, gasoline components and bio fuels, it can also handle naphtha, gas oil, heating oil, and/or diesel.

In March 2019, we had the ground-breaking ceremony of its new Liquefied Petroleum Gas ("LPG") storage facility in Port Klang Malaysia. Commercial operations started in May 2022. The terminal is the first independent refrigerated LPG terminal in South East Asia with primary activities of storage, blending, break-bulk, handling and distribution to domestic and international consumer market. The terminal has a capacity of 134,400 cubic meters which consist of 2 refrigerated tanks and 4 pressurised bullets.
