Due to a manufacturing defect, some track rods (between left and right wheel of the steered axle/s) were manufactured without the slots at the end of it. If the slot is missing, the clamping force of the clamp between the ball joint and the track rod will be low. This may result in a loss of vehicle control.

Recall Campaigns will be repared at a Scania Dealer free of charge. An independent workshop shall inform the vehicle owner to contact the Scania network immediatly if he finds a Recall Campaign on the vehicle.

You will need SWS or SDP 3 to check and erase fault codes and reset the maintenance indicator in the vehicle.

In SWS, you click on the "parts catalogue button". The parts catalogue is now selected to the specific vehicle you have entered and you can navigate to the wanted area and find the correct Scania part numbers.
You can also navigate the parts catalogue without entering a chassis number, this is not recommended. In the non filtered mode it is hard to choose the correct part number.
