Grüne Kanton Bern
Mit einem raschen Zubau der Solarenergie leistet der Kanton Bern einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Klimaschutz, stärkt die lokale Wirtschaft und schafft zusätzliche Arbeitsplätze. Unterstützt wird die Solar-Initiative auch von der EVP Kanton Bern, den Grünliberalen Kanton Bern, Casafair und Swissolar.

Rund ein Siebtel des gesamtschweizerischen Potenzials für Solarstrom liegt im Kanton Bern. Allein mit den gut nutzbaren Dachflächen könnten pro Jahr 9000 GWh Strom produziert werden – das entspricht dem Dreifachen der jährlichen Energiemenge des abgestellten AKWs Mühleberg und über das Jahr gesehen mehr als dem heutigen Strombedarf des Kantons Bern. «Mit der Nutzung des Solarpotenzials kann mehr Strom produziert werden, als der Kanton Bern heute verbraucht», bringt es Natalie Imboden, Präsidentin GRÜNE Kanton Bern, auf den Punkt.
«Solarthermie wie auch Photovoltaik weisen eine hohe regionale Wertschöpfung auf. Durch bewussten Einkauf von Schweizer Komponenten können die Konsument*innen die regionale Wertschöpfung maximieren», führt Tabea Bossard-Jenni, Grossrätin EVP und Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung Jenni Energietechnik, aus. Bei der Installation einer Solaranlage fliesst ein Grossteil der Ausgaben an lokale Bau- und Planungsfirmen. Aufgrund des starken Preiszerfalls bei den PV-Modulen wird der regionale Anteil in Zukunft sogar noch steigen. Bereits heute gibt es im Kanton Bern innovative Betriebe, die vor Ort Solaranlagen mit massgeschneiderten Modulen produzieren oder an neuen Speichertechnologien forschen.
