Buyer beware. Per this article, the batteries can not be expanded/stacked so you''re pretty much stuck with the 15Kwh maximum which is bizarre and disappointing. Under guide from my installer, I added another battery which has been nothing less than a disaster. Monitoring the system accurately is impossible and monitoring consumption in a SonnenFlat scenario is a burden with manual calcs. Sonnen themselves take weeks to provide me with a view on my consumption against my SonnenFlat plan. :(
My Sonnen system has been faultless.Apart from grid problems initially which have now been sorted.My gripe is with energy companies which take power before the battery is charged.Over the last fortnight we provided a surplus of 176kWh to the grid and use 152 kWh however still had to pay even though our investment in solar and storage was over $20000.
