Weatherization helps make your home:

The Weatherization Assistance Program offers a range of services tailored to your home''s specific needs. These may include:

One of the primary factors affecting eligibility is income. Under DOE guidelines, households at or below 200% of the poverty income guidelines are considered eligible for weatherization services or if they receive Supplemental Security Income.

WAP Grantees also give priority to the elderly, families with one or more members with a disability, families with children, high-energy users, or households with a high energy burden. Please use the map to visit your specific state, territory, or tribe and review the identified eligibility guidelines.

The state, tribal, or territorial website may provide a list of the local organizations or providers that offer weatherization services under its "How to Apply" section. Some states offer an online application direct from their website, but most guide you to contact the local providers. This list is usually organized by county and provides an address, phone number, and/or website.

Once you have identified your local weatherization provider, contact them to start the application process. Your local provider will require proof of income for the prior year, such as pay stubs or social security payments. For information on proof of income, please refer to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services'' Poverty Income Guidelines and Definition of Income.

After receiving your application and income information, your local weatherization provider will determine if you are income eligible to receive weatherization services. If you''re income eligible, then your name will be placed on a waitlist. Both homeowners and renters are eligible to apply. If you are a renter, the weatherization provider will work with you and your landlord to receive permission before weatherization work can begin.

If eligible, a trained technician will visit your home to conduct a free energy assessment. Once the energy audit analysis is complete, the energy auditor will provide you with a recommended scope of work of the most cost-effective energy conservation measures for your home.

After reviewing your WAP-funded energy conservation upgrades, the energy auditor and/or a crew leader from the local WAP provider will meet with you to explain how the work crews and/or contractors will conduct the work and the timeline expected to complete the project.

Based on the audit, your WAP auditor will schedule and complete the necessary improvements to make your home more energy efficient. Once the work is completed, a local WAP provider''s inspector will review the work to ensure everything was completed, meets the Standard Work Specifications, and all equipment is operating safely. Throughout the weatherization process, your health and safety are a priority.

Watch your energy bills decrease while you enjoy a healthier, safer, and more comfortable home.

Just like a thermal cup keeps contaminants hot on a cold day and repels warm heat when trying to keep something cool, this radiant barrier helps keep the heat from escaping in the winter and prevents your attic from overheating in the summer.

Does your attic floor or ceiling look like this photo on the left? If so, you have mold that must be treated immediately! Home mold remediation is important in all areas of your house. Although you don''t spend all your time in your attic, this unhealthy air can travel into other parts of your home, creating mold health risks without you even knowing it.Our Mold-X2 product helps remove and reduce the staining from mold, mildew, dirt, soil, and other organic debris. Mold-X2 can be applied to structural framing, cement blocks, unfinished drywall, and more.

Our TruSoft cellulose insulation is a safe, non-toxic type of insulation that is 85% composed of recycled material. This method of "blown-in" or "open blow" cellulose is the process of loosely spraying the material into the attic or wall cavities to create a dense, insulated space to slow air flow. Our cellulose insulation is also non-flammable as well as rodent and mold/mildew resistant, making it an all-around benefit to your attic!

Having an insulated attic is beneficial and important in itself. It is even more important to install this insulation when you have ductwork up in your attic. Hot and cold air runs through these ducts and if exposed, unwanted warm or cool air from your attic will find its way in. Along with the insulation of the attic, these ducts are air sealed around the bottom so no air pockets are formed. Insulation and air sealing in your attic will help your home contain the heat or cold air it''s producing so you save on money and energy.
