The IDDI is an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial, a global coalition of public and private stakeholders working to accelerate clean energy transitions. The IDDI aims to stimulate demand for low-carbon steel and cement by establishing ambitious public sector procurement targets and to set industry-wide standards and definitions of low-carbon steel and cement.
“Sweden and Swedish companies are leading the transition to fossil-free steel and have a key role to play. Industry accounts for 34 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions, and steel and cement account for more than half of that. We can join forces to advance the clean energy transition through global cooperation,” says Minister for Energy, Business and Industry Ebba Busch.
Sweden’s participation in the initiative was announced at the COP27 climate conference.

Our main task is to create attractive and sustainable urban environments where people want to be – both today and tomorrow. Environments that contribute to the development of society and that provide a basis for growth and business. Real estate is the cornerstone of our operations, but we are actually more interested in the people who live in the environments we create.
– ELECTRICITY INNOVATION –
ElectriCITY is a citizens’ initiative in the form of a test bed, Hammarby Sjöstad 2.0, to show how a district can become climate neutral by the year 2030. It is based on cooperation between citizens, business, academia and authorities. Includes measures to reduce energy use in homes and switch to renewable energy, provide charging equipment for electric cars in all garages, improve waste management, promote sustainable consumption and use digitization to support climate work. Now serves as a model for how citizens in other neighborhoods can be involved in the transition.
Envac are proud inventors of the vacuum cleaner and one of the most innovative companies in the global automated waste collection industry. We lead the development of future recycling and resource-smart waste management where data collection and AI help optimize the system to reduce both climate impact and costs.
Our vision is to create smarter cities, improve the quality of life today and leave a greener planet for future generations. Envac’s smart collection of waste and recycling contributes to cleaner and more sustainable neighborhoods. Digital innovation engages citizens and makes the system cost-effective and resilient.
