In order to guarantee the optimal storage of electrical energy, the battery testing laboratory has the appropriate equipment and qualified personnel with 30 years of experience, focused on the testing of lithium batteries from the cell to the pack level.

Semi-accelerated studies are carried out in order to test the evaluation of battery degradation and to investigate new models that allow greater energy efficiency. This is done through a combination of electrical and climate testing.

Battery safety tests are also carried out, using thermal and mechanical abuse equipment, to evaluate the response to conditions outside the range of use. In addition, it has the capacity to characterize batteries and carry out regulatory tests.

The aim is to provide innovative projects with the facility to validate models that simulate the electrochemical, electrical, thermal and mechanical behaviour of the battery. The combination of simulation tools and testing equipment allows to investigate improvements in the performance and safety of batteries (for cells, modules and packs) and their components, from pre-design stages to prototyping.

Con el fin de garantizar el óptimo almacenamiento de la energía eléctrica, el laboratorio de testeo de baterías cuenta con equipamiento adecuado y personal cualificado con 30 años de experiencia, enfocado al testeo de baterías de litio desde el nivel de celda hasta pack.

También se llevan a cabo pruebas de seguridad a las baterías, mediante equipamiento de abuso térmico y mecánico, para la evaluación de la respuesta ante condiciones fuera del rango de uso. Además, cuenta con capacidad para la caracterización de las baterías y la realización de ensayos normativos.

Se trata de aportar a proyectos innovadores la facilidad de poder validar los modelos que simulan el comportamiento electroquímico, eléctrico, térmico y mecánico de la batería. La combinación de herramientas de simulación y equipamiento de testing permite investigar mejoras en el desempeño y seguridad de las baterías (tanto para celdas, módulos como packs) y sus componentes, desde etapas previas al diseño hasta su prototipado.

Nuestro objetivo es ayudar a empresas, fabricantes y usuarios de baterías de litio a abarcar todas las etapas de la cadena de valor, acelerando los procesos y reduciendo los costes del testeo, permitiendo ser más competitivas a empresas presentes en cualquier etapa del mercado de las baterías de litio.
