On December 8th, the signing ceremony of the annual 36GWh project of Lishen battery was held in Chuzhou Quanjiao, Anhui Province. With a total investment of about 15.2 billion yuan, the project plans to build an annual 36GWh lithium-ion battery project, which will start construction in the first quarter of 2022.
Battery Network noted that at present, Lishen Battery has set up battery factories in Tianjin, Qingdao, Suzhou and other places to achieve mass production, while the latest start-up of Wuxi base construction.
On December 4, Lishen Battery announced that the construction of Qingdao Lishen new production line has been started, this new production line is Qingdao Lishen''s first PACK production line. The whole line is composed of full automatic module line and semi-automatic pack line. After completion, the annual production capacity 2GWh of PACK will be added.
Specifically, the R & D center plans to use about 90 mu of land, which will be located in Wanshan Lake Science and Technology City, Xishan Economic and technological Development Zone, and plans to carry out innovative activities such as power battery research and development, testing and testing.
The new energy industry base project, with a land area of about 710mu, is located in Ehu Town, Xishan District, with an annual output of 24GWh lithium-ion power battery planned to be completed in two phases and started in 2022. Lishen Battery announced on June 26 that it has formally launched a major battery production base in China''s Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Development Area. Lishen will be investing more than RMB 10 billion into this project, which will span an area of 870 mu and have an annual production capacity of 24GWh for EV power batteries.
According to the reporting by other news outlets, the project will be developed in three phases, with 8GWh being added for each phase. Lishen aims to complete the entire base within four years after the start of construction. Once in operation, the whole base is expected to generate as much as RMB 12 billion in annual output value. Lishen is also touting that the base will be largest and most technologically advanced manufacturing site for EV power batteries in northern China.
Earlier this April, Lishen and Easpring Technology Material signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Specifically, Lishen will procure at least 100,000 metric tons of cathode materials from Easpring over a period of seven years (2022-2028). Easpring is a major Chinese supplier for battery cathode materials.
